The Big Problem You Encounter Buying a Custom Suit Online
With the advent of the internet and online shops, the possibility of ordering a tailored suit online has become available. So, does that mean you don't have to visit a tailor anymore to get a custom suit?

Not necessarily.
There is a big problem you can encounter when ordering a tailored suit online, which we'll go over here. If you want to have the easiest time ordering a bespoke suit, you should see a tailor directly in person if possible.
A huge part of the Nathon Kong experience is Nathon taking time to get to know his customers and their needs to make a tailored suit that fits them perfectly. We work until you get your suit perfect and avoid this problem.
The Big Problem
Out of everything people buy online, clothes remain a product that they prefer to get in person, even if they aren't looking for tailored made clothing. It comes to a matter of fit and the hassle involved in getting the right fit. Here are a few of the most common problems people experience when buying a custom suit online.
1. One Size Doesn't Fit All
Many custom suits ordered online aren't really tailored made. Rather, they are "made-to-measure."

What is made-to-measure? Essentially, rather than having a suit made for you from the ground up (as is the case for bespoke suits and custom suits), a made-to-measure suit is already made in a standard size. When you buy this suit online, the tailor then takes your measurements and makes a few adjustments so the suit fits a little better than an off the rack suit (a suit that is bought without any adjustments), but the problem is made-to-measure suits never fit as well as tailored suits.
2. You Take Your Own Measurements
A tailor needs your measurements to even adjust a custom suit for you. This means that to order a suit online, you either you need to take measurements yourself (likely by asking a friend to help) or put in what you remember your measurements being the last time you measured. This can lead to some real problems.
This increases the likelihood that you will have problems with your measurements and that the tailored suit you order online won't fit well. You (or your friend) aren't a tailor, so there is an increased risks the wrong measurement will be taken or that the measurement taken will be incorrect.
3. You're on Your Own
Tailors are here to help make your custom suit.
Another problem about ordering a custom suit online is you can't get the personal advice in-person tailors can provide about tailored suits. You have to pick a fabric. You have to pick a style.
Nathon Kong guides customers through the creation process of their tailored suit and offers expert advice on all aspects of the suit. We also offer exclusive artworks clients incorporate in the lining of their suit.
Every suit has a unique artwork.
Most art pieces are created by Les Impatients, a non-profit organization that supports people with mental health difficulties through therapeutic art programs. 10% of Nathon Kong's proceeds are donated to Les Impatients so they can continue to support their participants.
When you wear Nathon Kong, you aren't only wearing the perfect suit for you, you are also sharing the story of someone's journey to mental health wellness and healing.
